🌟 IIIT Raichur Selected as Anchor Institute for NAIN 2.0! 🌟

We are proud to announce that IIIT Raichur has been appointed as the Anchor Institute/Project Management Unit (PMU) for the North-East Region of Karnataka under the prestigious NAIN 2.0 initiative. This program is spearheaded by the Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, with support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India and the Center of Excellence in Cyber Security, Dept. of IT & BT, Govt. of Karnataka.
The NAIN 2.0 initiative aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Tier II & III cities, creating a dynamic ecosystem for startups, patents, and tech commercialization. IIIT Raichur, as the PMU, will work closely with the following NAIN Host Institutes (NHIs):
- Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar
- Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering
- Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleshwarappa Engineering College
- Ballari Institute of Technology and Management
Together, these institutions will receive an annual fund of ₹40 lakhs per NHI, along with ₹25 lakhs for PMU operations, to drive their efforts in building a robust Innovation Ecosystem.
Leadership & Governance: We are honored to have Prof. (Dr.) Harish Kumar Sardana, Director, IIIT Raichur, as the PMU Head and Member of the Steering Committee. Under his strategic leadership, this initiative will pave the way for a technological and entrepreneurial transformation in Karnataka.
