Computer Science and Engineering:
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Computer
Science and Engineering (CSE) provides the opportunity
to gain a strong foundation in computer science, develop
programming skills, and explore various aspects of
technology and its applications. In order to give due
importance to applied as well as theoretical aspects of
computing, the curriculum for the B.Tech. (CSE) program
covers most of the foundational aspects of computing
sciences, and also develops the engineering skills for
problem-solving using computing sciences. The curriculum
typically includes courses on programming languages,
data structures, algorithms, computer organization,
operating systems, computer networks, database
management systems, software engineering, artificial
intelligence, machine learning, and more. These courses
will provide a solid foundation in computer science and
engineering principles and equip the students with the
necessary skills to tackle real-world challenges in the
field.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science:
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in
Artificial Intelligence & Data Science will equip
students with the skills and knowledge necessary to work
in a rapidly growing field. As businesses and industries
worldwide embrace AI and data-driven decision-making,
there is an ever-increasing demand for professionals who
can develop and implement these technologies. In
addition, pursuing a B.Tech. in AI and Data Science will
give the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research
projects and gain hands-on experience with the latest
tools and technologies. Students will learn skills like
machine learning, natural language processing, data
analytics, and more and be able to apply them to
real-world problems. Also, it can lead to a number of
exciting career opportunities, from working as a data
analyst or AI engineer to developing new AI-powered
products and services.
The curriculum for the program is designed to provide an
adequate balance of fundamental, core, and elective
courses. The fundamental courses will be focused on two
broad areas that are prerequisites for the core courses
related to Data Science viz. mathematical foundation
like Linear Algebra, Probability, and Statistics, etc.
and computer science and engineering like, Data
Structure and Algorithms, Computer Networks, etc. The
core courses related to AI & data science will involve
subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning,
Deep Learning, etc. The bucket of electives would
comprise focused and state-of-the-art courses like
Natural language processing, Machine translation,
conversational AI, Social Mining, Next generation
networking technologies, etc.
