Academics
Three undergraduate B.Tech programs and doctoral research across computing, communication and the mathematical sciences.
The B.Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering provides the opportunity to gain a strong foundation in computer science, develop programming skills, and explore various aspects of technology and its applications. To give due importance to applied as well as theoretical aspects of computing, the curriculum covers most of the foundational aspects of computing sciences and develops the engineering skills for problem-solving using computing sciences.
The curriculum includes courses on programming languages, data structures, algorithms, computer organization, operating systems, computer networks, database management systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more — equipping students with the skills to tackle real-world challenges in the field.
The B.Tech program in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a rapidly growing field. As businesses and industries worldwide embrace AI and data-driven decision-making, there is an ever-increasing demand for professionals who can develop and implement these technologies. Students work on cutting-edge research projects and gain hands-on experience with the latest tools — machine learning, natural language processing, data analytics and more — leading to careers from data analyst or AI engineer to building new AI-powered products and services.
The curriculum balances fundamental, core, and elective courses: mathematical foundations such as Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics; computer science fundamentals such as Data Structures and Algorithms and Computer Networks; core courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning; and state-of-the-art electives such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Translation, Conversational AI, Social Mining and Next-Generation Networking Technologies.
The B.Tech program in Mathematics and Computing is a multidisciplinary course that blends mathematics, statistics, and computer science. It is designed to equip students with strong analytical skills, mathematical rigor, and computational proficiency — with exposure to core areas like calculus, linear algebra, probability, numerical methods, data structures, algorithms, and machine learning.
The curriculum bridges theoretical foundations and real-world applications across domains such as finance, cryptography, scientific computing, and software development, preparing students for careers in research, analytics and technology, or for further studies in the mathematical sciences and computing.
