IIIT Raichur scores brawny placements with the highest CTC of 45 Lakhs in the ongoing Phase-I of Campus Placement 2022

Hyderabad, October 19, 2022: Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur (IIIT Raichur/ IIITR)
witnessed 5 job offers from 2 companies in the early stage of Phase-I of the Campus Placement 2022. The
entire process was held online, with students attending coding tests and job interviews from the campus and
dully proctored by the respective companies in coordination with the Training Placement Cell of IIIT Raichur.
As of date, a total of 15 students have registered for placements, out of which 5 students have been placed.
The highest CTC offered is 45 lakhs p.a. In the ongoing Phase-I of placement, a total of 5 companies have
participated, and other 6 have registered for Campus Placement 2022. Phase-I commenced in September 2022
and will end in December 2022. Phase-II of the placement season 2022 begins in January 2023. Apart from the
placement, students of IIIT Raichur also witnessed internship offers from 11 companies (as of date)
Expressing his delight on the stout placement season so far, Prof B S Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad and
Mentor Director, IIIT Raichur, said, “We believe in creating an industry-ready talent pool, and I am confident
that the measures being taken at IIITR will certainly fetch the appropriate dream jobs for the students. The
initiatives taken in the last two years, like Semester-long Internships, have started yielding results, and we will
continuously improvise on it.”
Conveying his commendation on the bright start of the Placement Season, Prof Harish Kumar Sardana,
Founding Director IIIT Raichur, said, “The robust foundation provided to the IIIT Raichur by the Team led by
Prof Murty is incredible. I am confident this amazing beginning will encourage and set a strong precedence for
the upcoming batches.”
Speaking about Phase-I of Campus Placements, Dr Debasish Mukherjee, Faculty In- Charge (Placement), IIIT
Raichur, said, “Being a newly established institute, we are pleased to see that the placement season at IIIT
Raichur is off to a good start. The TnP Team have been working hard, and we expect many other companies to
participate in the future Placement & Internship Seasons”.

Hyderabad, June 21, 2021: IIIT Raichur observed the grand celebration of the International Day of Yoga for two days under the mentorship of IIT Hyderabad. Yoga, an ancient practice that involves us physically, mentally, and spiritually is evolving and involving many people in recent times. This practice relaxes the body, reveals the stress, refreshes the mind, and ultimately reforms you to give peace and serenity to life. An inexpensive thing with innumerable benefits in a shorter time.
On June 20, a session was conducted at morning 9:15 AM on the importance of Yoga and the incredible impact of Yoga on our lifestyles was depicted finely by Shri Vishal Verma, Shri Rajesh Kalra & Team, associated with Bharatiya Yog Sansthan. The session was beginner-friendly and given a brief description of Yoga and its benefits. The session started with different yoga poses and ended with the slogan, “योग करेंगे, रोज करेंगे। रोज़ करेंगे, मौज करेंगे।”
On June 21, the International Day of Yoga at morning 6:00 AM, the session was started with an address by the Mentor Director Prof. B. S. Murty who himself practices yoga for more than 10 years, followed by a session by Dr. Sandhya CSR on the theme, “Yoga for Wellbeing - Look within yourself”. The session was filled with meditation and relaxation practices. The do’s and don’ts, the primary poses and their essence made the people pledge for making Yoga a part of their life.
Emphasizing the importance of good health, Prof. B. S. Murty, Mentor Director, IIIT Raichur said, “I congratulate IIIT Raichur Student Body for successfully observing International Day of Yoga with various exciting exercises. Yoga is beyond regular exercises. It simply gives the balance of our inner self which gives us a good life and makes us perfect ”.

The State Government of Karnataka has handed over a land of 60 acres for the construction of the Permanent Campus at Raichur. IIIT Raichur offers a BTech program in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 30 students. It uses a Fractal Academic System, involving continuous evaluation of students, and more choices on subjects they want to pursue outside their core area. It has a well-defined curriculum with emphasis on the advanced courses starting from the first year itself, which lets the students stand on par with the emerging technologies in the field of Computer Science. Closing Ceremony of EBSB Exchange Program
Marking the closing ceremony of the EBSB Cultural Exchange Program, the students celebrated Bathukamma - the floral festival of Telangana. Later savoured the Carnatic Music and the Ethnic Cuisines of state. Followed by a cricket match between IIIT Sonepat students and IIIT Raichur students in which the Sonepat team outplayed the Raichur team.
Closing of EBSB Exchange program
Toward the closing of the Exchange Program, IIIT Sonepat’s students met some of the faculty members of IIT Hyderabad, the Director, Prof. B.S. Murty, and other people from administration of IIIT Raichur, Prof. Prem Pal, Prof. P. Rajalakshmi, Prof. Raja Banerjee, Dr Subrahmanyam Kalyanasundaram, Dr M.V. Panduranga. Students have also shared their pleasant experience of their trip and stay.
Hyderabad City Tour
Day 4 of EBSB Student Exchange Program As a part of the cultural exchange program, students of IIIT SONEPAT & IIIT RAICHUR went for Hyderabad city tour. Visit includes the Salar Jung Museum - one of the three National Museums of India. With the collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from Japan, China, Burma, Nepal, India, Persia, Egypt, Europe, and North America, it is one of the largest museums in the world. Later the team witnessed the mesmerizing beauty of the Char Minar and the Hyderabad special market of ladies ornament & pearls. The tour concluded at the Golconda Fort. Overall, it was a magnificent experience for the students.
Gungloor Village Trip
The EBSB Club of IIIT Raichur organised a trip to Gungloor Village as part of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Student Exchange Program with IIIT SONEPAT students to make them understand the rural culture and tradition of State of Telangana. The students have also visited the Government school where they have interacted with the school students and enjoyed some fun activities like singing, dancing. Later they have visited the Gram Panchayat where they interacted with the Sarpanch of the village.
EBSB Student Exchange Program
IIIT SONEPAT students interacted with the IIIT RAICHUR students and Dean of Student Affairs Prof. P. Rajalakshmi. The whole itinerary for the week of visit was explained to the students and everyone introduced themselves to other students. Later everyone went for a campus tour of IIT HYDERABAD.
Republic Day Celebration
IIT HYDERABAD & IIIT RAICHUR celebrated RepublicDay with Prof. B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, hoisting the National Flag. It was followed by a parade by security personnel and cultural performances by students of IITH and IIITR. The Students performed various programs such as drama, singing, band performances, and a song in 23 Languages by School Students. Prof. B.S. Murty distributed prizes for various sports events declared new names for IIT Hyderabad Students’ Hostel after famous Indian Scientists. To mark the day, a special blood donation camp was also organized by the NSS Club of IIT Hyderabad.
IIITR Starts Functioning
The Indian Institute of Information, Raichur has started functioning under the mentorship of IIT HYDERABAD with its first B Tech batch of 30 students in Computer Science and Engineering from 26 July, 2019 at the campus of IIT, Hyderabad.
